Half-Mode Waveguide Based on Gap Waveguide Technology for Rapid Prototyping

In this letter, a half-mode waveguide based on gap (GW) technology for rapid prototyping is explored. Two devices have been designed and measured demonstration purposes: power divider curved waveguide. Both are constructed from two noncontacting metal pieces. also follow the same design process. bottom piece, horizontally polarized groove GW (GGW) housed. The height of about half, which required to propagate fundamental mode. top cover uniform pinned surface that acts as high impedance (HIS) over below. show reflection coefficient values less than −15 dB in bandwidth interest (28–31 GHz) excellent agreement with simulated results. These stand out their ease fabrication open horizon cheaper more robust designs mass production.
